Hello! I love Easy Context Menu v 1.6. However, I have a question. With the help of this utility, I'd love to be able to block folders in my inbox, just to make sure that my sensitive data isn't in plain sight and to protect these folders from the hackers too. Is it possible to have this service? Thank you!

Unfortunately, Easy Context Menu does not have the capability to block folders in your inbox. It is recommended to use encryption software or password-protect sensitive data instead.

To add a new item to the file explorer menu in Windows 11 using the "Easy Context Menu" program, you can follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the "Easy Context Menu" program on your Windows 11 computer.
  2. Launch the program and navigate to the "File Explorer" tab.
  3. Click on the "Add Item" button.
  4. In the "Menu Item" section, enter the name for the new item (e.g., "Open Sub Folder").
  5. In the "Command" section, enter the command to open the desired sub folder (e.g., "explorer.exe C:\Path\To\SubFolder").
  6. Click on the "Add Item" button to save the new item.
  7. Close the "Easy Context Menu" program.

Once you have followed these steps, the new item should be added to the file explorer context menu, allowing you to open the specified sub folder directly from the menu.

Right clicking on the Desktop to create a new folder is not working. Can this be restored?

The right click functionality was probably disabled by the application. Check the following entry in Registry Editor (launch it using Windows key + R > regedit): HKEY_CURRENT_USER –> Software –> Microsoft –> Windows –> CurrentVersion –> Policies –> Explorer. Look for a key named NoViewContextMenu and set its value to 0 if it's there.

Additionally, look here as well: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE –> Software –> Microsoft –> Windows –> CurrentVersion –> Policies –> Explorer.

Or if you want to add New Folder, copy and paste the following code into a .REG file. Open Notepad, paste the code, go to File > Save as. Choose All formats for file type and type a name in thing format: name.REG. Make sure to add the .REG at the end.

Code:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellNew]
"Directory"=""
"IconPath"=hex(2):25,00,53,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,52,00,6f,00,6f,00,\
74,00,25,00,5c,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,73,\
00,68,00,65,00,6c,00,6c,00,33,00,32,00,2e,00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,2c,00,33,00,\
00,00
"ItemName"="@shell32.dll,-30396"
"MenuText"="@shell32.dll,-30317"
"NonLFNFileSpec"="@shell32.dll,-30319"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellNew\Config]
"AllDrives"=""
"IsFolder"=""
"NoExtension"=""

Double click the file, restart your PC and New Folder will show again.
